The President of Ghana, John Dramani
Mahama, has called on all Ghanainas to put behind every needless
struggle and rally behind one common goal to make the nation a safe
haven and a shinning example to all African countries and the world.
President
Mahama who was presenting a message at the Independence Square to to
mark the country's 56th Independence Anniversary celebrations, called on
all political pundits, school children, contingents of security
personnel and all Ghanaians who were glued to thier television sets, to
restrain themselves from courting unnecessary controversies which could
disintergrate the peace and unity of the country.
He made a
speacial appeal to leaders of the various political parties to educate
their supporters against anything that could undermine the peace and
unity of the country.
President Mahama further pressed on all
stakeholders to play their roles responsibly to ensure a peaceful and
successful serene is maintained in Ghana.
To wrap up his brief
message he had prepared for the nation, President Mahama, stated that as
a focused country, Ghana, can't afford "to go back to yesterday".
"We
can't go back and fight the battles we have already won. we can't waste
time and energy searching for political troubles and insults and expect
that our country would still prosper," he overtly noted. |
