The lawyer for the over 300 joinder applicants in the election petition case pending before the Supreme Court, Kwabla Senanu has stated his clients will accept the ruling of the judges and abide by it.

He was however quick to dismiss claims that if the court had accepted the joinder application, it would have allowed more people seek to join the case.

Kwabla Senanu further clarified that his clients were hoping to serve as representatives for the numerous individuals who were eager to be joined in the on-going case.

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the joinder application brought before it by over 300 supporters of the National Democratic Congress.

The Court ruled that the applicants were not needed in the case.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Thursday, Mr. Senanu explained that “this issue about the flood gate, I don’t know where it is coming from. This is about case management… it would have been a representative application. If there are about one million voters who have come with the application, we don’t expect all of them to come to the court to have their application heard by the Supreme Court.”
