Amidaus Professionals midfielder Yahaya Mohammed is surprised about his exclusion by the technical team of the Black Stars ahead of the crucial World Cup qualifier against Sudan at the Kumasi Stadium. Mohammed was tipped to play a crucial role for Ghana ahead of the Africa Nations Cup before an untimely injury ruled him off. Following the official release of the list on Tuesday, the leading goal scorer of the Ghana Premier League said he is fit again. “I will say I am surprised because I was expecting to make the squad for the Sudan match but all the same I wish them well for the game,” the captain of the Premier League side told Storm FM. “I hear they claim I have an injury but that is never true because I was given three weeks to recover from my injury I sustained before the Nations Cup but that three weeks is long overdue and I have even played two games and scored once, “I chose not to play the FA Cup match because I didn't want to invite any injury before this Sudan match so I am fully fit and was expecting a call-up,” the midfielder added |
