As footy-Ghana.com exclusively hinted, Coach Ibrahim Shaibu Tanko has received his marching orders from Premier League leaders Medeama SC over a lack of commitment to the club’s course.
FootyGhana can reveal that following the unexpected resignation of former head coach Bashir Hayford in January, the club had moved to promote the former Hearts of Oak assistant by signing him on but have resolved to rescind the decision after an emergency meeting to discuss his work ethics on Monday.
According to footyGhana sources at the club, until the decision to relieve him of his duties, coach Tanko was yet to sign to a contract offered him about three months ago despite taking his enticement fee as then the assistant coach of Medeama. We can confirm that the club has resolved to allow coach Tanko keep the money as his compensation.
Assistant coach Evans Adotey has been handed a letter asking him to take temporary charge of the team until a yet-to-be-named foreign coach who has an African experience is appointed.

Below is a copy of the letter handed Coach Shaibu Tanko informing him of the decision to relieve him off his post.
