We need electricity: Yendi residents appeal to VRA
The News...
The residents in the Yendi Municipality have appealed to the Volta River Authority (VRA) to restore electricity to the area following the rainstorm that hit the municipality on Thursday.

The rainstorm caused damage to properties worth thousands of cedis and further caused a blackout.

The residents have expressed worry as the situation is affecting socio-economic activities.

The Assemblyman for Kumfong, electoral area, Musah Aminu pleaded with the VRA to fix the problem.

In a related development, the Gushegu district assembly has received the first consignment of relief items for onward distribution to victims of a similar rainstorm.

The District Chief Executive for Gushegu, Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini commended NADMO for the timely intervention but appealed for more support.
