Disaster for Ghana football as Arsenal pull out.

Berekum-Arsenals

Berekum Arsenal have pulled out of the ongoing Glo Premier League following a decision by the Ghana FA to fine them club GH¢8000 for crowd violence.
The club’s owner and chairman, Yakubu Moro told Kumasi-based Metro FM that the club hierarchy feels it is being treated unfairly, hence the decision to quit; adding that a letter has been sent to the GFA in that regard.
"Berekum Arsenal has written to the GFA to withdraw our participation in the Glo Premier League. Enough is enough with this unfair treatment. Hearts of Oak was responsible for the incidents that day at the Golden City Park. We took this decision to quit following a management meeting.”
Yakubu Moro, who yesterday hinted that the club would pull out because of perceived biases against the team by the GFA, also told Metro FM that the club would not only refuse to pay the fine imposed on it, but institute legal action against the GFA.
“We will not even pay the fine imposed on our team. We are even planning to take the GFA to court for breach of contract.
"They've not fulfill their promises concerning the sponsorship package prior to the commencement of the league. We are ready to face the consequences of our actions.”
