Adam Larsen Kwarasey -Shot-stopper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has informed the technical team of the Black Stars of his unavailability for Ghana’s two crucial 2014 World Cup qualifying games against Sudan and Lesotho next month, TheNews understands.
The 25-year old Stromsgodset first choice goalie who was only recently displaced by Fatau Dauda as Ghana’s no.1 has informed Coach Kwesi Appiah he is set to undergo a surgery on a recurring injury the very week the Black Stars begin camping for the two games in Khartoum and Maseru.
AllSports gathers the technical team have calmly brainstormed over the situation at hand and are set to give current first choice Fatau Dauda a back-up with impressive duo from the Glo Premier League, Stephen Adams of Aduana Stars and Foli Adade of Ebusua Dwarfs; both of whom have been training with the Local Black Stars squad.
Adams would be making a return to the Black Stars since the last time in 2012 while Adade will be having a maiden call-up to the senior team.
The Black Stars team will fly out to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on May 30 where they will be camping until 5th June before leaving for Khartoum for the Sudan game.
They will then travel to Johannesburg on June 9 and train Johannesburg for four days before departing to Maseru for the match against Lesotho on June 16.
