195 Students Burn Headmaster's Car For Failing To Register Them For WASSCE. Students of the Kolege Senior High School at Darkuman in Accra have burnt down the car of their headmaster after they were prevented from participating in the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) on Tuesday. Narrating the incident to Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Wednesday’s edition of ‘Kokrokoo’Ewura Abena said 195 students were made to pay an amount of GH¢1100.00 as registration fee for the examinations. However when they went to take part in the oral English, the first subject of the WASSCE, they were denied. The students then realized that the headmaster failed to register them even though all of them have paid. They decided to confront the headmaster whose name was given as Albert Cornelius but apparently he had bolted. The irate students therefore decided to resort to demonstration and burning of the headmaster’s car as well as some school properties. The police and the National Fire Service, however, were on the scene to maintain calmness.
