SuperSport United's Gyimah: I want to do well for Ghana

 

SuperSport United sensation Edwin Gyimah spoke exclusively to Goal about his plans for his national team Ghana
United defender Gyimah is hoping to impress if he gets an opportunity to play, since he has been included in the Ghana squad that will participate in the upcoming Fifa 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

“I am really looking forward to doing well for my country. Getting a call-up is always a great feeling and I am now just praying that I will get to play and do well,” he said.

The defender can also play in midfield and stated that his season with SuperSport United was amazing and he enjoyed the experience that he received there.

“Its been a great season, as I got to grow as a player and I most definitely learnt a lot of things. The journey was not easy at all, but I am glad that hard work did pay off at the end as I am now getting call-ups,” Gyimah said.

He also added that his teammates played a role into giving a great season and it was all about team effort.

“Apart from the hard work that I put in, my teammates and coach Gavin Hunt also played a crucial role,” he said.
