Ghanaian female housemate in the Ruby
house Selly who was up for eviction in the first week of the Big
Brother Africa-The Chase has survived the first eviction show.
Selly
who is new Head of House in the Ruby house is safe for now but two
housemates Denzel from Uganda and Kenyan housemate Huddah have received
the first boot from the BBA house.
Tension were high, anxiety
mounted and all housemates including those who were not up for eviction
had nervousness all over them as they counted down to the first live
eviction show in the Big Brother Africa the-The Chase.
About an
hour or more to eviction, both the Diamond and Ruby housemates were
already dress up and seated waiting to hear IK’s voice. They had
conversations in groups and all five housemates up for eviction;
Denzel,Betty, Huddah, Selly and Natasha spoke as though it was their
last day in the house.
There was host IK’s voice to set off the
action packed eviction show. He introduced Ugandan group Radio &
Weasel, as the first act to set the ball rolling. The duo brought down
the root with their danceable tunes.
The recap of activities in
both houses over the past week, started with “Airtel showdown” which saw
two housemates from both houses swapped. Denzel and Neyll was move into
the Ruby House and from Ruby House “Head of House” of the winning
Diamond house Feza elected Hakeem and Melvin to move in with the
Diamonds.
The Saturday night party with Kenya’s Dj Hypnotiq and
South African DJ Jawz brought the houses down last night in the first
Ruby and Diamond House Parties. Head of house of the Diamond house Feza
revealed that she swapped Elikem from Ghana and replaced him with Betty
to be up for eviction after which HoH of the Ruby house Beverly also
revealed who she replaced for eviction.
A recap of the nomination
session was shown where most of the housemates couldn't remember the
names of their fellow housemates. The first housemate to be evicted
from the BBA-The chase was Ugandan housemate troublesome Denzel.
Spotting yellow pants, a striped shirt and a black jacket had a short
chit chat with IK on the eviction stage. When IK addressed him as a
‘Crazy’ guy Denzel said “Am a little bit different from anybody else”.
Denzel
had the privileged of watching who put him up for eviction during the
Monday nomination session saying he was surprised Angolan housemate
Neyll nominated him.
Ugandan group Radio & Weasel was
invited back on stage to continue the party they started in the
beginning of the show. Denzel who is from Uganda was seen dancing to his
home music during their performance. IK went back into both houses
to announce the second evictee from the house and it was Huddah from
Kenya who was announced as the second evictee and she joined Denzel on
stage.
The love affair between Ethiopian housemate Betty and
Bolt from Sierra Leone was shown. “I am happy I have experienced the Big
Brother and I thank Africa for voting for me”. Asked why she seems a
bit reserved Huddah said a lot of people do not know her story and she
was now warming herself up into the game. After watching who put her up
for eviction she insisted that she has not regretted any moment or
action in the BBA house.
Denzel chose arrow number four and it
went to Nando from Tanzani and Huddah chose arrow number one and it went
to Dillish from Namibia.
Ghana’s Selly is new Head of House in
the Ruby house and she will swap someone on Monday evening after
nomination session in the morning, so would Diamonds Head of House. Both
houses will go through nominations on Monday morning.
