Toppmoller? It’s not true, Ghana sticking to Appiah – GFA

The spokesperson of the football governing body has rubbished reports that a new technical head will be appointed hence reducing the powers of Kwesi Appiah as Black Stars coach
The Ghana FA has denied reports that German Klaus Toppmoller is being considered to head the Black Stars technical bench at the 2014 World Cup.
Reports were rife on Tuesday that coach Kwesi Appiah will be relegated to a deputy coach status for the German to take up his position at Brazil 2014.
“Absolutely not! We are going to Egypt with Kwesi Appiah and to the World Cup with him. It is not true whatsoever,” the Ghana FA spokesperson Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Graphic Online.
He said no amount of distraction will affect the four-time African champions ahead of the second leg against the Pharaohs of Egypt on November 19.

Topmoller, 62, was coach of Georgia between 2006 and 2008 and has previously had stints with Leverkusen and Hamburg.
